On this tour, you will learn about the entire coffee process, from seed to cup. You will see how the cocoa seeds and coffee beans are grown and processed using organic principles. You will also have the opportunity to taste some of the finest coffee and chocolate in the world. The tour begins with a walk through the coffee plantation. You will learn about the different types of coffee plants and how they are grown. You will also learn about the different stages of coffee production, from harvesting to roasting. After the walk through the plantation, you will visit the coffee processing facility. Here, you will see how the coffee beans are cleaned, dried, roasted, and ground. WHAT TO BRING: Hiking shoes, bug repellent, comfortable clothing, and sunscreen.
Transport
The microbus will pick you up at your hotel in La Fortuna and take you to the starting point of the tour. Transportation to and from La Fortuna is included.
Naturalist Guide
You will be guided by a bilingual naturalist who will share their knowledge of the area with you. Our guides are experts on cultural expositions.
Chocolate-making process
